It is already the end of the first term of the MBA programme! Times flies when the calendar is buys and challenging! The first exams are over and many new courses have already started! An intense academic year was indeed promised to the MBA Solvay candidates!
But the MBA programme is not only about hard-skills. The Career Advancement Programme seminars and coaching sessions are running parallel to the academic curriculum and guiding the students through their career search and professional development goals. This pillar, together with the module on Communication, Awareness and Leadership and with the workshops and seminars within the “Business Voice Series” framework, gives the participants all the tools to broaden their horizons, discover their potentials and developing them into concrete skills and actions.
This part of the MBA Solvay programme rounds-up the education of the future managers with the soft skills needed to face all the challenges that their future careers will present and will help them becoming more responsible, mindful and internationality recognised managers, entrepreneurs and leaders.
Throughout the year, the school organises a series of seminars and workshops with high-profile guest speakers. Entirely open to our participants and alumni, these seminars constitute a great way to keep track of the latest development tools in the business world. Participants interact and learn from professionals in a large range of topics. Past seminars have covered topics as Change Management, Effective Networking, Presentation Skills, Effective Business Writing, Financial Crises, Opportunities and Risks of of Social Media, Sustainability of the Supply Chain Management, What it takes to be an Entrepreneur ……
Many of our seminars and workshops – given throughout the year by high-profile guest speakers traditionally on Tuesdays evenings – are also open to all alumni, faculty members and corporate partners, giving the opportunity to current students
to network with the entire MBA Solvay community.
The next big alumni, students and faculty gathering will take place on January 10th in the occasion of the MBA Solvay New Year Speaker Event. Now an annual tradition, MBA Solvay, together with the MBA Solvay Global Women Network and the MBA Student Government, invites you to a special guest speaker event to discuss a business topic analysed through the prism of gender issues.
This year’s guest speaker is Donatienne Brasseur, a Change Consultant specialised in Organisational Diagnosis. Having previously worked as an internal consultant with Cargill and as an independent consultant with Brucelle Consulting, she joined CSC in October 2011. There she continues her research of Chaos and Emergence on issues such as Customer Intimacy and Introducing Innovation in Corporate Cultures.
The topic discussed this year will be “Organizational Change: Getting Used to the Future – Are men and women different?“ The discussion will be followed by a networking cocktail, to celebrate the New Year together with the MBA Solvay community!
